Chris Brown’s ‘Welcome to My Life’ documentary hit limited theaters over the summer, but now the film is available on iTunes. We’re sure fans are excited to see their boo open up to the world. But, we’re not really feeling the part where he talks about what happened in 2009 with his ex-girlfriend.

In an effort to promote the film, a clip from ‘Welcome to My Life’ has hit the Internet in which Chris details the night he brutally assaulted Rihanna nearly 10 years ago. Yes, you read that correctly.

According to Chris, Rihanna went through his phone and came across a text from another woman. Tensions escalated and things got physical.

“I hit her with a closed fist, I punched her. I busted her lip and when I saw it I was in shock, like ‘F*ck! Why the hell did I hit her like that?’ So, from there she just spit in my face and it enraged me even more. it’s a real-on fight in the car. We’re driving in the street. I’m like ‘Yo, we’re trippin’. What the f*ck? Like, what are we doing?’ She’s trying to grab for my phone to throw it out the window. So, she grabs my nuts, when she [did] that, I bit her arm. Because I was still trying to drive. It was a petty stupid fight.”

Chris added that because he was unfaithful in the past, trust was always an issue in their relationship.

“She hated me,” he said. “After that I tried everything. She didn’t care, she just didn’t trust me after that. From there, it just went downhill because it would be fights. It would be verbal fights, physical fights as well, mutual sides.” He added, “We would fight each other. She would hit me and I would hit her. It never was okay.”

Did Chris reach out to Rihanna before shaking the world again with the drama between the two? We could only hope he did out of respect. What we do know is Rihanna is very much over Chris, but having to relive these moments sounds miserable.

The two briefly revived their relationship in 2013, even making an appearance at the Grammys together that year, before breaking up for good. In our opinion, that breakup was the best thing that has ever happened to Rihanna.
