We hate hearing about any divorce but sometimes, you just can’t pick up the pieces and move on as a couple.
Sadly for 46-year-old Gwen Stefani, she wishes splitting with Gavin Rossdale after 13 years was not happening.
The Voice coach and mother of three opened up about her divorce in an interview with The Tommy Show on 94.7 in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday morning.
“I wish it didn’t happen. I wish this that all this wasn’t happening,” Stefani said. “But at the same time, I feel like it was part of my life journey.”
Luckily, the singer sees a light through all of the darkness. She still has “got a lot of joy right now” about her second chance at love specifically with fell Voice judge, Blake Shelton.
Stefani also talked about how she has listened to past songs about Rossdale and she knew she should’ve watched out!
“Because of my situation right now… I feel like I go back and listen to a lot of that stuff and I’m, like, I get sick,” she shared. “You look at the songs and go, ‘That was a red flag!'”
In case you don’t know why Stefani and Rossdale split: He cheated on her…with the nanny…for 3 years!
“In my life, I’ve had two really bad heartbreaks and I’ve written some really incredible music out of it,” Stefani said. “I feel so lucky to have that, and to be able to share it.”
“There’s always good things that come out of bad things,” she added.
We’re glad she is looking at the bright side. You go, girl!
